In 2016, we were one of the few agencies to successfully run a Black Friday campaign at social media. And we did it for the online shoe store topshoes.gr.

Challenge.

You have 24 hours

When you have to bring as many customers as possible to the doorstep of your eshop in just 24 hours, then things get serious and the difficulty is increased.

The steps.
Step 1
Researching

We gathered every available and important info about the Black Friday concept, keeping notes on the parts containing marketing evidence.

Step 2
Analysing

Taking into consideration the greek audience maturity and familiarity with the Black Friday campaign, we took a thorough look at the direct and indirect competitive businesses.

Step 3
Brainstorming & planning

Due to the uninstructed target audience, we chose to take a simple and comprehensible approach, developing a branded design that would retain the continuity of the current digital branding and would be consumed effortlessly.

Step 4
Implementing

We used Topshoes’s main channel to get the message delivered, creating one teaser post and almost 15 posts in 24 hours all of them bonded with Facebook Ads. In addition, we triggered the interest of our loyal customers through newsletter campaigns.

Step 5
Evaluating

After running and continuously adapting our actions, we got an impressive 24-hour result. Over 100.000 users reached, turning 20% of them to site visitors doubling the revenue. In the long run, strong awareness caused long-term effects on sales stats.
